Melissa Connolly, DVM

Dr Melissa Connolly has wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember. Her life long love of animals and medicine made it a perfect career. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire, she was admitted to Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, and graduated from it in 1988.

Dr. Connolly started her career as a small animal veterinarian and has since refined her practice to primarily cats, though she loves to work with dogs who live with their kitty friends! She sets a priority on staying current with new techniques, practices and breakthroughs in veterinary medicine, attending conferences and has completed the Low Stress Handling® Silver Certificate Program. Dr. Connolly is a Cat-Friendly Veterinarian through the AAFP. Although Dr. Connolly visits and treats her patients in their home environment, she has access to a hospital for treatment that must be done in a clinical setting.

In addition to living with four cats, a dog, two guinea pigs, a rabbit and two chickens, Dr. Connolly has a horse. She also has two human children and a husband because as much as she loves her four legged friends, she likes people too.
